ABA is based on learning theory and has a focus on observable and measurable behaviours as well as the influence of the environment on these behaviours. Goals may focus on strengthening motivation, increase engagement in meaningful activities that the client values and decrease behaviours that interfere with these meaningful activities.
Specialties include: parent coaching, acceptance and commitment therapy

Credentials: Registered psychotherapist, professional art therapist and a board certified behaviour analyst.

Education: Masters of applied disability studies and applied behaviour analysis, art therapy and psychotherapy, psychology

Specialties: Acceptance and commitment therapy, developmental disabilities, motivation and behaviour change, collaborative and creative problem solving, parent coaching

Populations: 13 years of clinical experience supporting families and individuals of all ages, from all walks of life (from birth to the golden years). Individuals struggling with stress, depression and anxiety, self-harm, trauma, acquired brain injury, autism spectrum disorder, dual diagnosis, schizophrenia, bipolar, dementia, depression, anxiety, and individuals living with complex medical conditions.

Approach: Collaborative and client-centered. Flexible approach, adjusting to the needs of the client and their preferences. This can include talk-therapy, play-based family therapy, psychological education, mindfulness practice, increasing motivation, or coaching around self-monitoring and behaviour change strategies.
